Not really useless shite but couldn't think what forum to put this on.
Shelley's been knocked off her bike today. All I've heard so far is she's in hospital and her kids are with her.
Fingers crossed it's not too serious.

Just had a bit more news. Not good I'm afraid.
Someone's pulled out on her as she was riding along the road that goes past police HQ at Ponteland.
Luckily the car behind was being driven by a doctor so help was immediately at hand.
Bad news is one of her legs is pretty badly mangled. Broken in ten places I'm told. They're taking her into Theatre to see if they can, hopefully save it. Like I said fingers and everything else crossed, poor bugger.

Just had word off Swifty that she's on Ward 21 of Newcastle General. Visiting's 6-8pm apparantly, though I'd check if you're thinking of going.
Surname's Logan SM in case you didn't know. I'm sure just Shelley would do like, everyone on the ward'll know her by now if I know her.
If I hear owt else about her condition I'll post it here asap.

Swifty got to see her tonight before she was taken back into theatre. Latest is, as well as her leg which was pinned together in a full length cage, she's broke her arm in a couple of places, her collar bone and I think her shoulder. They took her off morphine this avo cos her leg was swelling too much and have now taken her back into theatre to cut her leg open to relieve the pressure. Hopefully that's going to help. She's deffo not out of the woods and there's still a possibility she could lose her leg below the knee. I'm sure everyones thoughts are with her and if we can will her well we will.
Apparantly the geezer that knocked her off was an off duty copper, Witnesses include another cop who's high up in incident support unit and a fireman. They both reckon she's not at fault. Word is she went over the car and fell down the other side under the rear wheels.
On the upside Shelley been the trooper she is is still smiling and reckons some of the firemen that turned up were quite fit, she asked if any of them were single while in a heap on the floor! Go Blondie..
