Kev got pulled on Satda neet and got one of them Asbo for bikes thingies off an eedjitt plod.

Plod 1 was gonna do him for driving without due care and attention where he could've been looking at a possible 6 points and a 2 grand fine but eedjitt plod 2 got out of the car and 'let him off' with this ticket thingy where if he's caught being a naughty boy on his bike within 12 months it's impounded and he has to pay a daft sum to get it back.

Guess what he was doin that was dangerous!

He removed a hand from the handlebars to wipe the rain off his fekkin visor! Copper thinks this new law that lets them knick people for eating/smoking etc applies to bikers wanting to see where they're going, Prick.

I would've had the twat in court personally and being a MAG member and BMF affiliate I'd try and get their support and make it a test case as well. Flaming outrageous. I think I'll fire a letter off to Dave Short and see what he makes of it.

Kev if yer readin get the RN Barristers on to it, don't let the tossers get awaay with it or we're all doomed, doomed I tell ya..

bloody stupid, he should contact MAG and see if this has happened anywhere else. taking a hand off the bars to clear vision is no different to taking a hand off the steering wheel to change gear in a car. it is inappropriate use of the hands likely to hamper driving/riding that may be considered dangerous or distracting. if a bike has no indicators you must by law remove your hand from the bars to make a hand signal, whats the difference in this case?

Righto, What you've been given Kev is a Section 59 order which is intended to stop young uns tear arsing aboot shopping precincts on Steppas. Have a butchers at the link below from the Green Lane lot.

http://www.glass-uk.org/index2.php?option=com_content&do_pdf=1&id=267

According to this I reckon if you get your pet barrister to write to the Area Commander giving him the full story they'll have to strike it from your record You should never have been given a section 59 for riding a road legal bike on the road unless you were popping wheelies or summat. Let em have it.

reminds me of the story when the frummblegrommit was pulled by the wallypop police
when he was riding his wallyfighter 1200 across the industrial plain of sunshine. the bloody buggers pilled him for riding naked and he didnt even have a headache. ne fun nowerdays cant have a good time for having a bad time. am sure he took his missadventure to the high table top in the corner and the big white wigged wally poped the misfortune into the fridge for later (i think that is a suspened sentance in our world??). poor frummblegrommitt, 76284 points and he still has an itchy toe

Reply from David Short:

This seems a most bizarre and totally disproportionate application of the anti social behaviour legislation. What we are finding is that some cops are using the anti social behaviour legislation which has a much lower standard of proof than the criminal law. In any case the legislation is not correct for the circumstances you describe. If your brother was doing something wrong then they should report him for summons and be prepared to stand their ground in a court of law. If as I suspect they havn't got a hope in hell of securing any form of conviction they have tried to use this as a means of exerting authority, in a totally inapropriate way. In short they should put up or shut up!

My advice would be to submit a complaint against police for 'abuse of authority' and see what happens.

As I am sure you appreciate I am not a solicitor, ( though I was a police officer for 31 years, ending up as a Chief Superintendent and could probably lose and find some solicitors), and therefore I cannot guarantee that my advice would stand on its own merits. However if the circumstances are as you describe I think you have a very good case to have the Section 59 order withdrawn together with an apology from the police force concerned. Good luck and keep me posted, I am sure the motorcycle media would love to hear of the outcome.

Kind Regards David

There you go 'Abuse of authority' Get thon barrister to get a complaint in!
