For those that weren't at the gathering last night. Purdy's put a plan together for a road trip down to Faro. He's looked into all of the options and the most economically viable way to do it is ride down all the way (2800 miles return) rather than going with BSH or using a similar route involving a ferry to Spain and riding from there to Portugal.
To ease the financial burden, he's going to set up a savings account for all those interested. We're suggesting saving around £25/month payable at the monthly meeting. This account will be a 30 day notice account so once you start paying you'll not be able to get your money out in a hurry.
Saving that amount from Jan 09 to July 10 will cover around half of the expected outlay.
Purdy, Me, Hooseplant are going to go for it. Banksy, Greener, Jeff, Dinx n Spa€rty are thinking about it.
Any more for any more?
Return flights from Newcastle to the rally site are around£65 at the mo if you fancy the rally but not the adventure!!

| Can those who took the account details for the Faro fund account on Friday night hang fire on setting up their standing orders and whatnot. A statement's turned up that's got different account no's to the paying in and cheque books they've issued. Hooseplant's gonna go into the bank and see what the craic is the morra.
